Our Mission
The Dental Loft provides patients with comprehensive, compassionate, and comfortable dental experiences. We believe that in doing so, we can better educate and give a clear understanding of an individual’s personal oral health. This, in turn, allows people to take ownership of their oral health and leads to many healthy smiles.

We pride ourselves in taking time to educate our patients on treatment options and recommendations. Through the use of our intraoral cameras, we are able to show our patients precisely what we see when looking in their mouths!

Dr. Hauswirth provides excellent quality in the care she gives. Since graduating from dental school nearly six years ago, she has made a point to take twice the amount of required continuing education every year. This, along with using state-of-the-art technology and the finest dental materials enhances the services she provides to the most up to date level of care.
Dr. Jena Hauswirth
Dr. Jena Hauswirth is an area native who grew up on a farm near Havelock. She graduated from Iowa State University with a degree in biology before attending dental school at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry and Dental Clinics.
Since being a dental student, Dr. Hauswirth knew she wanted her own practice. She has thoroughly enjoyed preparing and working to make The Dental Loft become a reality.
Staying on the cutting edge of dental technology and techniques is of utmost importance to Dr. Hauswirth. She ensures this by taking continuing education and being a part of several dental organizations and networks, including the American Dental Association, Iowa Dental Association, Iowa Lakes Study Club, Academy of General Dentistry, Spear Education, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and American Academy of Facial Esthetics.
Dr. Hauswirth and her husband, Kristopher, married at The Shores in Emmetsburg. They now reside in Emmetsburg, and have a daughter, Frances. In their free time, they enjoy spending time with family and traveling. Dr. Hauswirth also enjoys drawing, painting, and listening to podcasts.
Jess
Office Manager
Jess is the smiling face who will greet you upon arriving to our office. She wears many hats, including answering the phones, scheduling appointments, and helping patients submit their dental insurance claims.
Jess was born in Estherville, but was raised and graduated from Emmetsburg. She currently lives in Ringsted with her fiancé, Jason. Together they have four kids, Tristen, Hallie, Sidney and Dayton. For fun, Jess enjoys boating with family and friends, going to her kids' activities, and just being outdoors.
Nicole, RDH
Hygienist
Nicole is the person you will typically see when getting your teeth cleaned. She is a great advocate for our patients' oral health and does a superb job of helping patients' understand their unique needs.
Nicole was born and raised in Emmetsburg. She graduated from Kirkwood Community College in 2016 with her dental hygiene degree. In Nicole's words, "I always knew I wanted to move back home to Emmetsburg someday to raise a family. In December 2018, that dream became a reality when I got the opportunity to join The Dental Loft team." Nicole and her husband, Logan, now live in town with their sons, Hank and Knox. In their free time, they enjoy spending time with family and friends and staying active.
Nicole's favorite thing about working in the dental field is being able to help people. Her goal is to help each and every one of her patients better their oral health and to understand the link it has to their overall health.
Taylor, RDH
Hygienist
Taylor was born in Emmetsburg and grew up in Fort Dodge. She was a 2017 graduate of Fort Dodge Senior High and a 2020 graduate of the Iowa Central Community College Dental Hygiene program. In her free time, she enjoys playing tennis and spending time with family and friends.
Taylor is happy to be back in Emmetsburg as part of The Dental Loft team! She loves the small town atmosphere of Emmetsburg where she can really get to know her patients. Taylor's favorite thing about working in the dental field is helping people achieve healthy smiles.
MaKayla
Assistant
An incredible asset to our team, MaKayla is cross-trained between the clinic and front office. You may first see her checking in patients at the desk, and then again in a treatment room working chairside.
MaKayla was born in Fairmont, MN and raised in Ringsted, IA. She graduated from North Union High School in 2016. After graduation, she worked as a CNA. MaKayla has two little boys, Westyn James and Karter Alan. MaKayla enjoys spending time outdoors doing anything from fishing and hunting to going on long walks with her boys. She also loves spending time with all of her family and friends.
